Online workshops
The leading of healthy church change is a fascination for me. In 2023, I spent a year immersed in this topic for a Master’s degree. I spent the first part of the year reading dozens and dozens of change models theories. Then I went out and interviewed pastors who’d led change and congregations who’d experienced these changes. And then I brought these two things together, asking which models best explained what had actually occurred.
I learned a lot, and I want to invite you to join me for two 90-minute online workshops to explore the two key discoveries from my research.
The workshops are based on empirical research about how Kiwi pastors have successfully led change right here in Aotearoa. They’ll be short, practical, and affordable. I’d love for you to join me.
Workshop One
Healthy patterns of change leadership
Successful change completely depends on the actions of emotionally healthy leaders.
This workshop will explore the cluster of simple leadership patterns and postures that, if used well, can lead to healthy change. But if used poorly will undermine change efforts. You’ll walk away knowing which leadership patterns come naturally, and which you could choose to lean into.
Online, 10-11.30 am, Wednesday 13th August
Cost: $30 per person

Workshop Two
How to keep your people with you
The successful change leader is one who doesn’t get rattled by emotional and erratic reactions to change.
If you know what to expect, you’ll see that people’s responses to change are actually very predictable. I’ll share insights on how people experience church change and what successful leaders do to build trust through the process.
Online, 10-11.30 am, Wednesday 10th September
